In one paragraph

Subcontractor management software for general contractors runs every vendor on every job from award to final payment: the subcontract, its sign-off and signature, the documents the vendor owes, and the proof it can mobilize and be paid. Contracts Connected runs that loop on your own templates. Your people approve each subcontract before it goes out, vendors upload what they owe from a free account, the Monday and Wednesday reminders chase the rest, and the tracker shows who can mobilize and who can be paid.

01Awarded

Every subcontract approved before it goes out.

Draft the subcontract on your own template from the project, send it to your approvers in order or all at once, and nothing goes out for signature until the last one signs off.

02Collected

One link for the contract and every document.

Each vendor gets one link to its own task list: the subcontract to sign and everything it owes you, from the COI and W-9 to the license. The Monday and Wednesday reminders keep asking until it’s all in.

With the AIOn Done with you, the AI reads each document against the job’s requirements and tells you whether to approve or reject and why. On Done for you, your AI agent chases what’s missing and sends rejections back on its own.

03On site

Everything they need to get paid, kept current.

Renewed certificates, endorsements and lien waivers come in on the schedule you set and are reviewed as they arrive, so the tracker shows who’s cleared to be paid. Your accounting system still pays the vendor.

ThenOn the record

Every vendor, every job, on the record.

Who sent what, who approved it and when, from award to closeout. Pull it for any vendor or job when a dispute, an owner or an auditor asks.

See every vendor on every job on one screen, on a sample project.

AI-first. AI optional.

The AI does as much as you let it. Or nothing at all.

It’s one setting for the whole account, and you can change it any time.

Do it yourself · No AI

Your team runs it.

Subcontracts, approvals, signatures, reminders, the tracker and the record all work without the AI. No AI model touches your documents.

Done with you · The AI reads

The AI reads before you approve.

It reads the documents you switch it on for, tells you whether to approve or reject and why, drafts the rejection message, and explains each change a vendor makes in a redline.

Done for you · The AI agent

Your AI agent runs the loop.

From its own email address and phone number it drafts subcontracts from the award email, sends them once your approvals are in, chases what vendors owe and tells your PM who’s cleared. Human in the loop or Auto mode.

Questions general contractors ask about subcontractor management

The ones that come up on demos, and how we answer them.

What is subcontractor management software?
Software that runs every vendor from award to final payment: the subcontract, its approval and signature, the documents the vendor owes, and whether it can mobilize and be paid. Contracts Connected does it on your own templates.
What should a general contractor look for in subcontractor management software?
Subcontracts on your own templates, internal approvals before anything goes out, one link for the contract and the documents, reminders that chase without you, a lien waiver before every payment, and a record of who approved what.
Do we have to change our subcontract template?
No. The package is generated on your own templates: your subcontract, purchase order, exhibits and insurance requirements. Setup is three 30-minute meetings, on your templates, with the person who will run it.
What do our subcontractors have to do?
Subcontractors set up a free account from the link in their email, then sign and upload what you asked for. They never pay: not to register, not to upload, not to sign. Unlimited vendors on every plan.
Can we start on a project that’s already under way?
Yes. The documents a project already has can be loaded in, so the tracker starts with the record intact instead of from zero.
Who decides whether a document is acceptable?
Your people do. On Done with you, the AI reads it against your requirements and tells you whether to approve or reject, and why. On Done for you, your AI agent also sends rejections back on its own.
How does payment release work?
The tracker shows who can be paid: lien waivers in and the documents you require before payment current. Your accounting system still pays the vendor. Contracts Connected gives you the answer before the check goes out.
Does it connect to our project management and accounting systems?
Yes. We integrate with the systems you already run, from project management to accounting and ERP, whether that’s Procore, Sage, Deltek Costpoint or something else. Each integration is worked out with you, case by case, and built and improved as you need it.
How much does subcontractor management software cost?
Contracts Connected starts at $416 a month on Foundation, with unlimited users, subcontractors and projects. Core adds approval routing, change orders and COI tracking, and Core and Max are priced on a call. See plans and pricing.
